What Are Qi Gong Exercises?

Many people ask what is Qi Gong rather than what are Qi Gong exercises? Basically, Qi Gong is focusing your mind on your body and your breath. Some call it a moving meditation. it is all of this and more. Qi Gong is a healing art form, where as Tai Chi is a martial art form. They are closely related and you can see the difference between the two forms in more detail if you click here.

In this article I want to share some free resources that are Qi Gong exercises to get you started on the road of a holistic well being personal practise. In todays crazy world where human beings are top of the list of being the unhealthiest species on the planet. It is really important to take your health seriously. I have found personally, that the more I connect with my body, the easier the bad habits disappear. And that is a good thing. I used to find it very difficult to change. Now it is becoming easier with my practise of Qi Gong.

Qi Gong Exercises Cover The Whole Body

Qi Gong exercises cover the whole body and more. In fact, Qi means energy and Gong means utilising well or even mastering. With Qi Gong you begin to master the energies of the body. When you sleep deeply, your brain actually shrinks and allows toxins to pass through the gaps into the blood stream. This goes through your whole body until you excrete the toxins out. If there are problems with the flow of energy in the body, these toxins can get stuck. And this can be anywhere where the circulation of energy and blood are low.

To maintain a good energy flow in the body, we need to take up an energy based exercise system. Qi Gong is ideal for this because you can target specific areas of the body for healing and regeneration. Below I have put some short exercises onto YouTube for you to try. Many of my students have used this resource to see if Qi Gong is going to be useful to them in their daily lives. And it is an emphatic yes. Over the years I have seen many people really change once they take up Qi Gong. It seems to make their other practises so much deeper also.

Free Qi Gong Exercises Fro You To Try

I have listed the exercises below. But you can hop over to my YouTube channel and let the exercises run from one to the other. This will be a good workout for your body. We do this and more in our live classes every week at the Bright Beings Academy. But these short exercises will give you a good taste of whether this is going to work for you.

All over body tapping

This helps strengthen the body, help promotes good bone marrow production and stimulates your mitochondria to encourage new energy into your body. This is especially good if you are feeling tired and heavy.

All Over Body Tapping

Meridian stretching exercises

This short routine stretches the 12 outer organ meridians of the body. Good for all over meridian health. Also stretching is really good for blood pressure and heart health. This is because having more flexible arteries and veins means the heart does not have to work so hard to pump the blood around the body.

Meridian Stretches

Neck opening routine

We hold so much stress and tension in our necks. Even children today are having neck issues. Keeping the next open and flexible is an essential part of your over all health.

Neck Opening Exercises

Shoulder opening exercises

Like the neck, our shoulders are so tense in todays world. When I finally managed to train my body to sit down and have relaxed shoulders, I felt amazing. We need to clear the stress out of our shoulders regularly.

Shoulder Opening Exercises

Wrist opening exercises

You can feel the difference in the two wrists very quickly when you practise this exercise. I have seen people turn around their arthritis with this particular exercise after a few months. They could open jars again, when they couldn’t before.

Dahn Jon tapping

This is tapping your second chakra or lower Dahn Jon. This really helps you to ground yourself. It also helps your release the power, the passion and the creative energies of the lower Dahn Jon. This is a very powerful practise if you continue this for 21 days. Watch for the subtle changes in you. They will be there. You just need to spot them. I have called this exercise Sacral Vibrations.
